HERTZ ACOUSTIC SILENCER
Hertz Acoustic Silencers are essential to
maintaining noise control in an airpath.
They are widely used in various indoor environments where ventilating and air conditioning systems are installed,
such as offices, hotels, sound recording studios, lecture theatres, hospitals, and conference rooms. When used in manufacturing or processing plants,
the Hertz Acoustic Silencer will limit noise from generator sets, fans and blowers,
cooler towers, dust extraction systems and other heavy-duty industrial equipment in outdoor environments.
The Hertz Acoustic Silencer is tested and
approved by the Productivity and Standards
Board (Singapore), a global leader in product
testing and certification.

Hertz Acoustic Silencers are designed to work with DW142 or DW144 High Velocity Ductwork Systems.

Material Specifications | Outer casting is made of thick galvanized steel sheet of at least 0.8mm thickness.
Longitudinal joints are lock formed and mastic sealed during construction.
Attenuators longer than 600mm are fixed with arrowhead splitter noses.
Arrowhead splitters are made from at least 0.5mm thick perforated pre-galvanised
steel sheet. Acoustic media are made of fiberglass, rockwool or non-toxic
inorganic infill, and packed under 10% compression to eliminate voids. A polyester
membrane called Melinex wrap on the acoustic media is available for hospitals,
clean rooms and grease laden atmospheres. Chlorinated rubber painted inners
are advised for corrosive environments.

Dimensions | The minimum size for W and H is 300mm. Breakdown of sizes over 2000mm is
advised. Other sizes are available upon request.

number indicates the percentage of free area of the silencer.
